Need help with generation of firmware hex file for MSP430F5529 in ADS1292 EKG FE Evaluation Board
Hello:
I just bought a ADS1292R EKG FE Development board from Ti.It uses MSP430F5529 as the Microcontroller. I noticed that I can update the firmware using the USB on the EKG development board. But the firmware file that is required seems to be a hex file. After modifying the registers, I tried to build the project in code composer studio latest version v5.2. I tried both options of generating executable or library. But I don’t see any way to generate a hex file required for firmware update. Is there any other tool that I can use to create the firmware file. Can you please provide some details ASAP?

Hello, I need to upgrade my firmware with a file saved in my MMC card. This MMC card if formatted under FAT16. I'm tryng to do this with MMC library, but when I compile my firmware, MMC librarys are in first addres of PIC memory. Somebody have any suggestions? my necessity is to upgrade my firmware by the air. in my normal firmware, I receive a new firmware by a 485 net, but under a proprietary protocol. I have adapted the ethernet firmware update from Shinichiro Nakamura (great job!) to pick the file from an USB stick. Unfortunately it doesn't work properly. I made two different .bin files. I'm able to follow the directions up to Step 7, however, MFDeploy seems to hang at "Connecting to TinyBooter...". MFDeploy seemed to hang in the same state for over an hour while the N+ was still running the last program I loaded (Blink). I Update the firmware with midiox and the megadrum reboots, all ok. I unplug the usb and leave it for at minute to rest and then plug usb in and I get the firmware update menu from start. There are some sample firmware from the latest microchip framework (v.2.5), and also one from Jan Axelson (lvr.com). Many of the firmware have claimed that they have been tested on the board i have.
