So i just order the AVRISP mkII programmer from amtel and im seeing people talking about using development boards. The tutorial i followed just used the AVRISP mkII programmer to burn the hex files onto the mcu. Do you have to have a development board to program an avr mcu or can you just use the AVRISP mkII programmer. Does using a development board make it easier to test the finished code on the MCU? If so how do you know a development board is compatible with certain avr mcu's. I was looking at the 40 pin teensy usb development ...Hi All, I'm new into embedded development but I've done PC programming for quite sometime (Java), I have some questions regarding development board and I found few that I'm interested (just to give you an idea of the kind of dev board I'm after here are 2 examples - Wholesale MINI STM32 Development board 512K FLASH 64K SRAM Development Board With 2.4"TFT LCD#E09039 and Wholesale STM32 Development Board +3.2 Inch Color LCD Module STM32F103VCT6 ARM Free Shipping, #E09033), my question is after creating an app how do I go about 'uploading' the program into the dev board ? besides hardware what ...hi,Happy new year everybody.Recently i have found a very strong development board.I have to share with everyone. It is:h**p://www.tymall.net/avr-development-board-study-board-p-6.htmlwho have used this programmer ?Hi I'm a PC programmer for a few years and I'm just starting with development for microcontrollers. I am looking for a development board that works with Linux. That mean no Windows, not even virtualbox/vmware and no wine. What board can you advise me to buy? I just need something that works (can be programmed). I'm not looking for some kind of IDE. By this, I mean that I can use vi and a commandline if needed. For example, will the UNI-DS3 Development System (AVR or PIC) work for me? I know for example Adruino uses ATMEL and works on Linux. But ...Can some one help me with which programmer to get. I have the pic16f84a chip 18 pin. I want to do this project: Show Tempature on LCD I just want the least expensive programmer that will work and hopefully has free software to go with it. I see different boards with huge price differences and not sure which will work for me. I see this: SparkFun Electronics - 18 Pin PIC Development Board and the PICDEM PIC18 EXPLORER BOARD Product Search - microchipDIRECTHi, I just received my eZ8 development board. I have been an assembly programmer for several years but I have never developed C code for a microcontroller. I know C but I am still a beginner. Can anyone send me some C code writtern for the eZ8 development board so I can learn from it? Any pointers on code development for the eZ8 board is also appreciated. Has anyone ever developed an ibutton interface for the eZ8 or other 8 bit controller in C ? Thank you for your time. Bradley allenbv@canoemail.comFirst of all, I'm a newbie regarding electronicsamprobotics so please bear with me. I have been working as a programmer for a few years but I just got interested in playing with microcontrollers. Can anyone recommend a book/tutorial for building a development board based on ATMEGA16-16PI . As of yesterday I own a breadboard and a atmega16 microcontroller. Where do I go from here? ThanksHi all, I would like to enter the exciting world of Arduino development. Sadly I'm a noob. I have no idea which board to purchase. Initially it seemed like the "Budget Pack for Arduino (Arduino Uno R3)" was exactly what I needed, but after looking the through the site I saw the "Arduino Mega Android Accessory Development Kit (ADK) Board". My ultimate goal is to create a cellphone bot, specifically something that flies, but I'm interested in many other projects as well. If I purchase one board over the another will I pigeon hole myself into a certain type of development/experimentation? ...I would like to find an ARM-based development board which I can program in assembler. It seems many/most PIC/AVR/ARM development environments are heavily biassed towards the C language which I have never used. I do have a reasonable grasp of ARM assembler (from using Acorn RISC computers in the 1990s) which I would like to use. As a newcomer to micro-controllers, I find the array of development boards available quite bewildering! This is the sort of thing I have been looking at: http://www.coolcomponents.co.uk/cata...products_id=60 Is there a suitable low-cost or free ARM assembler development environment (PC-based) available for this type of board? Thanks for ...my avr6 development board is not working again. i bought the board not upto 2 month, and is complaining that "can not sycronize device device with programmer". i try to change the micro that i was using and also check the jumper if its on onboard programmer but all to no avail.please can someone help me on what to doAnyone have any first hand experience with either of these development boards? PIC-Development-Board-Evaluation-with-Programmer PIC-Development-Board-LCD1602-12864-GLCD-Stepper-MotorI am new to AVR and robotics as well. I have got a 40 pin avr development board with atmega 16 microcontroller and a usb isp programmer I am not able to setup the connection between board and PC.I am using AVRStudio. please helpThe only experience I have with micro controllers is with the arduino. I felt extremely limited by the arduino especially in the cases of embedded design. I'm interested in completing a number of projects with embedded micro controllers and I don't know where to start. In looking at learning PIC micro controllers, I've found a book called "Learning to fly with the PIC24" and it requires an explorer 16 development board. This book seems to be outdated though? I don't know if this would be the best place to start. I am interested in learning a long term solution in ...here i want to buy a programmer shown figures below with specifications Features * USB 8051 PROGRAMMER is self Powered programmer * No Need of Power supply * Kit Includes USB Cable , CD and programmer Board - * Supports 89C51,89C52,89S8252,89S51,89S52 * Adapter for Programming AT89C2051 20P packages - Extra Not included in This Package Features * Flash Burner for 8051 series * Communication - USB * Auto Erase before writing and Auto Verify after writing * ISP Programming FRC Socket * Device Support89S51,89S52,89S8252,89S2051,80S4051 amp AVR SERIES ALSO * Compatible with 8051 Development Board by seeing these products i came to a dilema "what to buy?" can any one plz suggest me which ...Hey guys, im thinking of buying MCF51JM128 microcontroller and its development board from a distributer here in canada. My question is: is the CodeWarrior Development Studio free to download to program the MCU? I tried looking at their website but it says the free version only allows for assembly programming is that true? Im newbie in assembly and it will be better if i can use C to program my board. Please Help! Thank youHi friends, I am designing a new product for that i am using AT91SAM9xExx512 ARM. I want to purchase a development board for the same, but I cant find any board and PRICING information on website. Please suggest me a dev. board and also send the pricing information. Thanks in advance.Total noob here that just got his first Arduino board. I managed to get through all of the Adafruit tutorials in a few hours, but I am not a programmer by any stretch. I have ordered a copy of Practical Arduino. Until that book comes in, though, I am continuing to play around and searching for information on the web where ever I can find it. I seem to have run into a brick wall with respect to any kind of library for the ST7565 GLCD. The Adafruit provided library is great, but I can't figure out how to print ...As some already know I have written a book called Introduction to Atmel AVR microcontroller development, Using free software, With worked examples, By Chris Leaver ISBN 9780956728500 This is of course available for purchase form Amazon and others. However I would like to offer it as an E-Book for FREE DOWNLOAD. It is about 12MB in size. Most importantly though, I want it to be VERY EASY for people to find and download. I would love it to be available via this forum but if anybody has any suggestions for the best place to host it (ie also for free) ...Hi, We are in the process of ordering an MSP430 gang programmer (http://www.ti.com/tool/msp-gang430) for programming the controllers in production. We are doing the development using the MSP430F5529 controller and in production we will be using the MSP430G2303 controller (we are using MSP-EXP430F5529 board for development purpose). The development is almost done and we need to do some basic functionality tests on few samples. Since no free samples were available for MSP430G2303, I have ordered few samples of MSP430F5529 from TI. To program these MSP430F5529 samples using the gang programmer I need a target board with jtag connection where I can ...Hi all, i just buy new development board. it is ATmega8535 Mcu base.
